Lights in Bloom®: An Open-Air Holiday Light Show will feature more than two million lights illuminating the gardens and walkways of Selby Gardens. Don’t miss a holiday photo opportunity, children’s arts and crafts, activities and entertainment. Food will be available for purchase from the Michael’s on East grill.

Holidays in Watercolor - December 3

Just in time for the holidays, paint your own seasonal watercolor masterpiece on a greeting card. Create a meaningful keepsake to share with your family and friends while learning watercolor techniques. Winter-themed color printouts are provided for reference, or students may bring their own. Open to artists of all ages/experience levels.

Deck The Halls - December 1 -24

Enjoy a brand-new rendition of everything that makes the holidays in Sarasota so special. With all-new songs and sketches, audiences scan get into the holiday spirit – Florida style – from palm trees with decorations and swimming in the sea to sand snowmen, and more. An annual Sarasota holiday tradition, “Deck the Halls” invites families to deck the palms and join in on the fun at this interactive family show.

Wintergreen Weekend at the Point - December 11 -12

Enjoy timeless holiday favorites at the Historic Spanish Point campus. Guests will delight in carriage rides, yuletide readings by the Asolo Repertory Theatre, classic festive tunes, tasty treats, and much more throughout the weekend. The event is free for Selby Gardens’ Members and included with General Admission.

A HOLLY JOLLY HOLIDAY - December 17

Your holiday season won’t be complete without attending this time-honored tradition as Key Chorale joins Music Director Troy Quinn and The Venice Symphony for “A Holly Jolly Holiday.” Classic carols “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “O Holy Night,” beloved standards “Sleigh Ride” and “White Christmas,” and music from The Nutcracker are just a few of the highlights. Key Chorale will bring you to your feet with Handel’s majestic Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah. A sing-along with surprises, Chanukah music and holiday film favorites round out this festive program.

Create a Living Holiday Wreath - December 18

Let’s get festive with air plants! Deck the halls and get into the spirit while crafting a living epiphyte wreath of your very own. This course will satisfy both left and right hemispheres with part art, part science, and all fun. You will create a masterpiece for your holiday decor, or a treasured gift for a friend or family member. All materials are included. Open to all ages/experience levels.
