Embracing Our Differences - June 1 - August 8
“Embracing Our Differences,” debuting at Sarasota-Bradenton’s Nathan Benderson Park, is an international art exhibit designed to promote inclusion, respect and kindness.. It consists of 50 billboard-sized works of art, each accompanied by an inspirational quote. Following the August show, pieces from the art exhibit are showcased in Sarasota’s Bayfront Park every year, from January through March.

Sistas in the Name of Soul - June 1 - 6
Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe is bringing back one of its biggest hits for its third run, as its Light Up the Night Outdoor Concert Series continues. The concert is a celebration of female rhythm and blues and soul singers from the 1970s, including Freda Payne, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Gladys Knight and the Pointer Sisters. Audiences will hear such hits as "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Respect," and "Band of Gold." The concert was first performed in 2008, reprised in 2010, and will now enjoy a three-peat, featuring artists Ariel Blue, Delores McKenzie, Syreeta Shonteé and Stephanie Zandra, and backed by WBTT's smokin' live band.

Pups at Premier! - June 5
Finally, an event truly designed for your dog! Join the first-ever Pups at Premier event in Lakewood Ranch. Come for fun, or to compete and try your pup’s paw at winning amazing prizes or raffles! Meet local rescue pups and shop at vendors catering to your pup’s needs and desires. There will be splash pools and an agility course – and so much more! And come hungry; organizers are bringing the area’s best food trucks for you and your pup! Event entry is just $10 per vehicle.

Summer Sidewalk Sale - June 12 – 13
Located just a few islands north of Siesta Key, St. Armand’s Circle is once again transforming into a completely outdoor shopping experience during its annual Summer Sidewalk Sale! Your favorite shops, restaurants and galleries will offer an opportunity to shop and dine in the fresh outdoor air, outside of their businesses, either on the sidewalk or green space of St. Armand’s Circle Park, many offering spectacular sales and savings! The sidewalks and green space will be open to allow plenty of open space for shopping. It's time to get outside and enjoy the clean air and sunshine of St. Armand’s Circle!

Liger Luau - June 12
The Liger Luau is a family-friendly fundraising dinner that benefits the animals that call Big Cat Habitat home. The benefit features a delicious buffet, animal guests, live music, games, silent auction and more! Join in some summer fun at a luau-style evening, including special animal guests, Hawaiian inspired cuisine and wild entertainment!

20th Annual St. Armand’s Craft Festival - June 12 – 13
The 20th annual St. Armand's Craft Festival is coming! You may view and purchase all kinds of artistic works from over 175 artisans with everything from paintings to jewelry, ceramics, pottery and much more. It's a fun event to stroll along through and look at all the uniquely creative ideas on display.
